Why I'm Starting a Book of Mormon Business Newsletter

Jul 17, 2026

Me on January 1: “It’s the year of the Fire Horse. This only happens once every 60 years. This is my year. Let’s go.”

Me on June 1: “Oh, okay. Everything burned to the ground... That's a different kind of fire than I was expecting.”

You know what feels way better than making a 5 year plan?

Looking back on the past 5 years to see where you've been.

I was just scrolling through my Kajabi account (the platform I use for sending these emails and housing all of my digital products and courses.)

I started this Kajabi account about 5 years ago.

Some crazy stats:

854 email broadcasts sent.

3333 email contacts (no, really)

$411,340.43 in all time revenue

32 different programs, courses, or digital products created

5 years of heart, soul, love, joy, learning, and hard work

This year has not gone at all how I expected it to.

You may have seen my post on IG about how April was my worst sales month... ever.

That's for multiple reasons -- I didn't really promote anything in April and also the offers I've been pouring my heart and soul into just aren't a need in the market anymore.

Some of that is changing markets. Some of it is changing technology. Some of it is me changing too.

Which is a huge bummer because my 5 year plan was to ride off into the sunset with my marketing course/coaching/copywriting support program, The Greenhouse.

But you know what they say about God's plans, right? That they're *usually* better than our plans? I'm really holding onto that right now.

SO. What's Kaelynn going to do now?

Just being 100% honest, I don't have the full answer to that right now. But what I do know is that it's time for me to put something into the world I've been wanting to create for yearsssss.

Starting this Friday, Fruitful will become a weekly email for LDS entrepreneurs.

I have a deep, deep love for a book called the Book of Mormon. If you're not familiar with it, it's a translated record of the people who were living on the American continent during roughly the same time period the events in the Bible were happening. Since social media wasn't a thing,  God had to visit his people on all of His continents separately and separate records were kept on both continents.

The Book of Mormon compliments the Bible beautifully. Inside you'll find stories, sermons, wars, miracles, leadership successes and failures, people trying to follow God, people ignoring God, and all the messy human stuff in between. And most importantly, it gives us another witness of Jesus Christ

(Honestly I can see why the name "The Book of Mormon" is a little confusing. If I'd never opened it, I would have assumed it was about Mormons.)

I've been using the Book of Mormon and Bible as my primary sources of business knowledge for the past 9 years. And I've ALWAYS wanted to share about it. And now... it's time.

Starting this Friday, I'll be sharing what the Book of Mormon and Bible are teaching me about business and topics like

leadership + stewardship

sales + money,

marketing + growth..

The principles are everywhere inside the scriptures once you start looking for them.

If you want to see the Book of Mormon through an entrepreneur's lens, you're going the new version of Fruitful.

The topic is changing, but you'll still find the same things here: raw, honest stories, lessons from building businesses, questions I'm wrestling with, and what I'm learning along the way.

And if you've been following along for years but this new direction isn't really your thing, that's okay too.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for reading these little snippets from my heart.

Thank you for trusting me as a resource in your inbox worth reading.

Sending you all of my love,

See the Book of Mormon
through an entrepreneurship lens
